Beauty. Simplicity. Flavor.
These three words succinctly describe Highlands own Coral Room.
Coral Room was established in 2002 and has been a cornerstone in North Denver ever since. Coral Room has brought a creative, comfortable, and fun American Bistro to the exciting Highlands neighborhood.
Whether you are looking for a great happy hour, intimate dinner, brunch with friends, or just a unique glass of wine at the famous horseshoe shaped bar, Coral Room is the place to go.
The menus are focused on healthy, creative dishes that are value oriented. It is always the goal of the chefs to use local, all natural, and organic ingredients wherever possible.
Owner John Nadasdy moved to Colorado from the east coast in 1993 and was the chef at renowned mountain restaurants like The Grand Lake Lodge as well as The Rapids Lodge and Restaurant. Nadasdy acted as the Executive Chef for several years, but has since passed the torch to Executive Chef Joe Rensch.
Joe Rensch joins Coral Room as our new Executive Chef. Having earned his culinary degree from California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, Rensch most recently worked as Executive Chef at Three Tomatoes Catering. Prior to that he spent time in some of the best kitchens in Maui with Chef James McDonald of PacificO, O’o Farms and I’O, and then at Denver’s own Sushi Den. Hailing from Nebraska, Rensch began his culinary career in his Uncle Gene’s Omaha restaurant, The Brass Grille, where he worked his way up through the kitchen. Rensch brings with him exciting, contemporary Pacific Rim-inspired recipes and flavors, evocative of Coral Room’s roots.
“I love to educate people about new food, to serve and teach them about fresh and healthy ingredients. My mother and her love of nutritious food has been a great inspiration to me.”
Coral Room’s hip yet simple décor, and their “come as you are” attitude, has made Coral Room a local favorite for 10 years when people want to gather and enjoy good food and great company.
We look forward to seeing you.
